The Liberty Hill Bakery & Cafe has been open since Labor Day, 2016. Chef Michael Biggs has been in the food industry for more than 15 years and with Melissa Day by his side, we decided it was time to leave our corporate kitchens and offices and embark on a new adventure–one that took us to a small town in the great Hill Country of Texas. We found our dream small cafe in downtown Liberty Hill. Originally built in 1901, the building was refurbished and refreshed in 2014. Opening as Liberty Hill Bakery & Cafe, we have learned a lot about the community and ourselves. With a year under our belt, we decided it was time to make a change.
In October 2017, we changed our name to Malted Grains, with a new dinner menu, hours and beer & wine. Opening for lunch and dinner during the week, brunch and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday, we are still making our fresh breads, will have special desserts and new dishes to put a smile on your face. We hope you are excited about this change as much as we are – we can’t wait to see you!
